San Francisco and its aging infrastructure

I am sure there are many out there who care about our City - the City and County of San Francisco. I am sure there are many who are interested in our aging infrastructure and our resources. We are blessed that we have all the clean drinking water a great resource from Hetch Hetchy. We also can tap into the electricity from Hetch Hetchy. We have other sources of energy supplied by Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) which believes in constant hike rates. We have a sewage system which is falling apart. Any thoughts? Why all the high rises? Why all the development?
